SECTION 00 02 00 • INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids, will be received by the Village of Royal Palm Beach, Florida at the office of the Village Clerk, located at 1050 Royal Palm Beach Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411 for subject Project until 3:00 PM local time, March 20, 2019, then opened publicly  at that time.

PROJECT  DESCRIPTION:Village of Royal Palm Beach -Commons Park Sporting Center 3rd Floor Veranda- Budget: $200,000.00

The project  scope  consists  of renovations  to the 3rd Floor  Veranda  area  mainly  to remove  the existing plastic  curtains  at the perimeter  and replace  with Impact  Resistant  windows  system  and to remove  the interior glass wall to open the entire level.  The existing HVAC system will be maintained for conditioning the newly enclosed space. Ta assist with window cleaning  an exterior  catwalk maintenance platform  will be added with additional horizontal lifeline system around the perimeter glass. The existing walls, ceilings and flooring will require patching and new finishes (paint and floor tile).  For access to the roof for maintenance, a roof scuttle will be added from the attic. There will be some minor electrical modifications required.   The roof eve trim boards will be cleaned and prepped  for painting as part of the renovations.

The Contract Documents will be open to inspection  at the Clerk's office. Contract  documents (drawings & specifications)  will be available after noon on February 27, 2019 and may be purchased from the Village of Royal Palm Beach

BID PACKAGE REQUEST FORM

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security  in the form of a certified  bank  check  made  payable  to the Owner, or a Bid Bond. The amount of the security shall not be less than five (5) percent of the Bidder's total price indicated in Bid Form if the bid exceeds  $50,000.00

No Bid may be withdrawn  for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing  date for the receipt  of bids except as otherwise provided in the Instructions  to Bidders.

The successful  Bidder,  who is awarded  the Contract, shall be required  to furnish  a 100%  Construction Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond.

In accordance  with F.S. 287.133  (2) (a), persons  and affiliates  who have  been placed  on the convicted vendor list may not submit bids, contract with, or perform work (as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor or consultant) with any public entity (i.e. Village of Royal Palm Beach) in excess of Ten Thousand  Dollars (or such other amount  as may be hereafter  established by the Florida  Division  of Purchasing in accordance with F.S. 287.017) for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.

A Pre-Bid conference will be held on March 7, 2019 at 3:00PM at the Commons Park Sporting Center(project address listed above).  The pre-bid conference will be mandatory.The OWNER reserves  the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
