With over 23 years of experience in pre-K-12 education, Dr. Adam Miller is a passionate and accomplished educational leader committed to fostering student success and organizational transformation. As Chief of Performance Accountability for the School District of Palm Beach County, he oversees federal and state accountability measures, strategic planning, and educational technology initiatives. His leadership has driven impactful district-wide changes, including the successful accreditation of one of the nation’s largest school systems and the implementation of strategic initiatives that enhanced educational outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Dr. Miller has consistently demonstrated an ability to navigate complex challenges and drive innovation. He spearheaded the deployment of a $40 million SMART Interactive Flat Panel initiative, the district’s largest technology rollout, which transformed teaching and learning across 180 schools. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic provided critical support to over 11,000 teachers through professional development programs and virtual community engagement. His efforts not only ensured continuity in education but also strengthened the district’s capacity to leverage technology effectively in diverse learning environments.

Dr. Miller’s career spans a variety of roles in education, including serving as principal at Golden Grove Elementary in West Palm Beach and Pioneer Park Elementary in Belle Glade. In these roles, he led school improvement initiatives, established innovative programs, and improved school culture and academic outcomes. As assistant principal at Berkshire Elementary, he worked closely with staff and families to foster collaboration and drive student achievement. Earlier in his career, he served as a data specialist focused on school improvement and as a classroom teacher at J.C. Mitchell Elementary in Boca Raton, where he honed his commitment to personalized learning and student engagement.

An accomplished academic and researcher, Dr. Miller holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University, where he has also served as an adjunct professor. He has taught and developed master’s-level courses, including Politics & Policy, and contributed to scholarly research on education policy. His qualitative dissertation, “Florida’s School Choice Policies and Democracy: Origins and Destinations,” reflects his dedication to understanding and shaping education policy to promote equity and access.

Dr. Miller has been a proud resident of Royal Palm Beach since 2003. He served on the Royal Palm Beach Planning and Zoning Commission for six years, including time as both a commissioner and chair, contributing to the growth and development of the village. Dr. Miller’s wife is the principal of Western Academy Charter School, a testament to their shared passion for education. Together, they have two daughters: one is a graduate of Royal Palm Beach High School and currently attends the University of Central Florida, while the other is a high school junior preparing for her next steps. Their family’s roots in the community underscore Dr. Miller’s commitment to serving and improving the village for future generations.
