Jan Rodusky, Vice Mayor, Seat #3
In 1996, Councilwoman Jan Rodusky and her husband Andy moved to the Village of Royal Palm Beach to raise their children and become active members in a dynamic, family-oriented community.
Jan has worked over 24 years in the nonprofit sector. She has extensive fund development, grantwriting and grantmaking experience in art and culture, healthcare and education. She is currently the Chief Grants Officer for the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County. She manages 10 grant programs administering over $3 million dollars to over 70 cultural organizations annually. She oversees grantwriting efforts and manages several capacity building projects.
Before joining the Cultural Council, Jan spent nine years establishing and growing a grantmaking program for a healthcare foundation. Prior to that, she spent ten years securing gifts and grants for health focused organizations as a professional fundraiser in Ohio and Florida.
She strives to connect people and resources with the needs in the community. She currently serves on the Board of Leadership Palm Beach County where she is a member of the Engage Leadership Team and member of the Songwriters in the Round Committee. She was appointed to the Village of Royal Palm Beach’s Recreation Advisory Board and served for four years. She has served on the boards of the Delray Beach Chorale, Carbonell Awards, World Affairs Council of the Palm Beaches and Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2008, Jan was selected as an American Marshall Memorial Fellow from the German Marshall Fund. She spent 24 days traveling to five European cities to build transatlantic relationships with key leaders from business, government and the nonprofit sector.
Jan holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in public administration, both from Kent State University. Upon completing an internship with the City of University Heights, Ohio, she was hired as the Assistant to the Community Coordinator. When she resigned her position she was awarded the Key to the City.
