Sealed bids will be received by the Village of Royal Palm Beach, Florida at the Office of the Village Clerk, located at 1050 Royal Palm Beach Boulevard, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411, for subject project 3:00 p.m. local time Tuesday, March 10, 2020, then opened publicly at that time.

Project Description:

The scope of work involves re-establishing and armoring the canal banks at two canal crossings on Royal Palm Beach Boulevard. Each location consists of two independent concrete road bridges and two independent steel pedestrian bridges located at the sides of the road bridges.

Two Sites: Bridge Nos. 937363 (E) & 937361 (W) and Bridge Nos. 937362 (SE) & 937352 (SW)

At both locations the work involves earthwork to return the canal to the original design section and armoring of the canal banks with rubble rip-rap. The work includes: clearing and grubbing to remove existing rip-rap, vegetation and any other unsuitable material in the canals within the work area; earthwork (excavation and fill) and grading; placement of filter fabric, bedding stone and rubble rip-rap to FDOT specifications; removal and legal disposal of all waste, unsuitable and excess material; minor modifications to exisitng drainage pipes in the canals; MoT (vehicles and pedestrians) to FDOT standards as required to perform the work.

Budget: $420,000.00

Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a certified bank check made payable to the Owner, or a Bid Bond.  The amount of the security shall not be less than five (5) percent of the Bidder's total price indicated in Bid Form.

In accordance with F.S. 287.133 (2) (a), persons and affiliates who have been placed on the convicted vendor list may not submit bids, contract with, or perform work (as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor or consultant) with any public entity (i.e. Village of Royal Palm Beach) in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars (or such other amount as may be hereafter established by the Florida Division of Purchasing in accordance with F.S. 287.017) for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Field Operations Center, 10996 Okeechobee Boulevard, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.  The pre-bid conference is not mandatory.
